Course Overview
An unconventional professional certificate course that takes a cross-disciplinary deep-diving as well as practical approach to brain science, psychology,clinical medicine, and social landscapes surrounding Autism. It aligns deep thinkers who are keen learners and empathic advocates from diverse professional backgrounds to share a common educational space that embraces cutting edge science, critical thinking, experiential learning, self-reflections, diversity and inclusions.
Using an interactive, immersive and cross-disciplinary approach, this two-day certificate course will bridge our students to multi-faceted initiatives that address the:

actionable brain and behavioral science of autism
novel gut-brain-microbiome dimension to autism care
hands-on skills to support individuals and families across settings

People from diverse fields such as (but not exclusively) medical practitioners, nursing and allied health professionals, social workers, educators, counsellors, health and education administrators etc.

NO prior experience in mental health, paediatrics, neuroscience or special education needs is also welcome
Medium of instruction
English used as common medium of instruction in oral presentations and the written materials. Hybrid use of Cantonese and/Mandarin in small group discussions as needed.
Qualification criteria

University graduates with Bachelor's Degrees or above

Good command in English language to comprehend the lecture presentations and participate in classroom discussions
